Dishoom opened its long-awaited and much anticipated first restaurant in Manchester…

…in the Freemasons Hall in 2018, working with ECHO on its regional PR, which consisted of a pre-launch, launch and post launch campaign.

Objective

Much-loved in London…

…with queues out the door at all five of its restaurants in the capital city, the objective for Dishoom’s Manchester PR was to ensure the same level of admiration and fondness for its new regional outpost. 

The PR campaign included a press trip to London, to introduce local press to Dishoom’s offering, stakeholder engagement, with a hospitality event pre-opening, a two-week soft launch in which Manchester’s businesses were invited to try Dishoom’s menu for free and a fantastic launch event. Post launch reviews ensured ongoing momentum and the continued sharing of Dishoom’s key messages. 

With over 60 pieces of coverage, 7k plus social shares and an estimated 568k online views, Dishoom quickly established itself as a key player in Manchester’s hospitality scene.

Results

Favourite PR moment: The Action Against Hunger Too Many Critics event – a sold-out event which raised a lot of money for AAH.
